Summary
The Barrett M82A3 is an anti-material rifle chambered in the .50 BMG cartridge. It deals 75 damage overall (5x Head, 2x Torso, 0.5x Limbs) making any shot to the head or torso instantly kill with good accuracy, being effective for long ranged combat
However, it has extremely high recoil, slow firerate and a small magazine of 7 rounds, making it ineffective for close to some medium ranged encounters.
Modification
The Barrett M82A3 can be modified in four ways being the sights, other, grip and ammo. These allow the user to alter the stats of the weapon to their liking, though the sight is necessary if the user wants to be able to see further into the map and aim accurately afar.
Tips
- Try to use the Barrett M82A3 for long ranged combat only though at medium ranges is still effective, just make sure you have enough cover and can aim well.
- You should attach a Hunting Scope or similar scopes to see further in the map if your sniping.
- Even though the Barrett M82A3 does cripple any limb it's fired at, you'll still need to aim for either the head or torso if you want to kill a enemy.
- As of the 9/3/21 update, the Barret will ragdoll any player it hits if you don't hit the head, making it easier to finish them off.
